Well Service Blowout Prevention Blended Online
The Well Service Blowout Prevention Blended course covers well control procedures and equipment specific to well servicing operations. The course is designed for service rig drillers/managers and wellsite supervisors. Participants will learn how to recognize kick use warning signs and safely shut-in a well. Blowout prevention equipment, well control procedures and rig crew responsibilities during well killing operations are also covered. This course is delivered in a blended format consisting of an online component and a classroom component (virtual or in person).
Upon Completion
Once the online component is complete, participants will have 30 days to register for the 1-day classroom component of the course. See links below for classroom component dates. Participants can choose from any of the virtual and in person class dates that are scheduled in that 30-day period. Upon completion of this course an online proctored examination is conducted with a minimum passing score of 70%, participants will receive a Well Service Blowout Prevention Certificate that will be valid for 5 years.

Equipment Requirements for Virtual Course:
- A currently supported version of your operating System for Windows or Apple
- Stable internet connection with a supported web browser
- Web Camera
- Speakers / Microphone (headset recommended)
- Government-issued, photo ID
- Printer to print the certificate after successfully completing the course
- Latest version of Zoom - as well as an account with Zoom

Notes
- Participants will have 90 days to complete the online component of the course
- Once the online component is complete participants will have 30 days to register for the classroom component of the course. participants can choose from any of the virtual or in-person class dates that are scheduled in that 30-day period
- Participants are given two attempts at the final exam. It is strongly recommended to review all course material between attempts
- If all attempts are unsuccessful, re-registration into the course is required, fees will apply
- The online component can be accessed at anytime through your online account, for 90 days from initial registration. Our Energy Safety Canada offices are available to support during regular business hours
- Students who do not complete the online and/or classroom component require time reimbursed for their registration fee, as per the Cancellation Policy
