Coiled Tubing Well Servicing Blowout Prevention - Online


This course is designed for coiled tubing personnel, service rig drillers and managers and wellsite supervisors involved in coiled tubing well servicing and well control operations. This course is delivered online.

Upon Completion

Upon successful completion of this course, a proctored exam is conducted and with a minimum passing score of 70%, participants will receive a Coiled Tubing Well Servicing Blowout Prevention Certificate that will be valid for 5 years.

  • Safety considerations and best operational practices.
  • Specifications, inspection and management of coiled tubing.
  • Coiled tubing tools, accessories and seals.
  • Blowout preventer stack equipment.
  • Well classification and BOP stack requirements.
  • Well control methods and responses to potential well control events.
  • Stretch and force calculations.

Prerequisites

  • Well Control Fundamentals course completed within the last 10 years
  • Well Service Blowout Prevention is no longer a pre-requisite for this certification.

  • The examination may be challenged every second renewal.

Equipment Requirements for Online & Virtual Course:

  • A currently supported version of your operating System for Windows or Apple
  • Stable internet connection with a supported web browser
  • Web Camera
  • Speakers / Microphone (headset recommended)
  • Government-issued, photo ID
  • Printer to print the certificate after successfully completing the course
  • Latest version of Zoom - as well as an account with Zoom

Notes

  • Participants are given two attempts at the final exam. It is strongly recommended to review all course material between attempts.
  • If all attempts are unsuccessful, re-registration into the course is required, fees will apply. The course can be accessed at anytime through your online account, for 90 days from initial registration. Our Energy Safety Canada offices are available to support during regular business hours. Students who do not complete the course in the 90 day period will not be reimbursed for their registration fee, as per the Cancellation Policy
