Coiled Tubing Well Servicing Blowout Prevention


This course will be discontinued after the last class on December 9, 2024. It is being replaced with a updated online self-paced course Coiled Tubing Well Servicing Blowout Prevention Online.

To enroll in the new course, students must first complete the pre-requisite: Well Control Fundamentals

This course is designed for coiled tubing personnel, service rig drillers, managers and wellsite supervisors involved in coiled tubing well servicing and well control operations.

Upon Completion

Upon successful completion of this course the examination with a minimum score of 70%, you will receive a Coled Tubing Certificate that will expire on the same date as your current Well Service Blowout Prevention Certificate.

Valid Energy Safety Canada Well Service Blowout Prevention Certificate

Certificate Renewal

  • The examination may be challenged every second renewal.
  • Students have the option to challenge their Coiled Tubing certificate on the same day as their Well Service Blowout Prevention challenge.

Notes

  • If you fail the exam following the course, you are allowed on rewrite within 30-day period. If you fail the rewrite, you will be required to retake the full course.
  • Students rewriting the exam must first register with Energy Safety Canada. Once registered, the student is responsible for contacting an approved testing facility to schedule a date and time for their exam (sitting fees may apply).
  • All registrations are booked through Energy Safety Canada.
  • Students must be on time and present for all course content instruction.
  • Students who do not complete the course content cannot be certified, and registration fees will not be reimbursed, as per the Cancellation Policy.
  • Course duration may continue beyond 4:30 pm.

Equipment Requirements for Online Class

  • A currently supported version of your operating System for Windows or Apple
  • Stable internet connection with a supported web browser
  • Web Camera
  • Speakers / Microphone (headset recommended)
  • Printer to print the certificate after successfully completing the course
  • A government-issued, picture ID is required to complete the final exam and obtain certification
